BATTING AROUND WITH BASEBALL
Kitay Productions has wrapped up a summer's worth of production work for America's national pasttime, as it prepares for the start of the college sports season later this month.
On July 28, Kitay Productions produced a telecast of the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game, live from Boston's historic Fenway Park, for the CBS College Sports Network. The show included six cameras, EVS, Duet, four tape machines, and more, comparable to a professional baseball game telecast. Company president Joel Kitay was the game producer, and company senior producer Steve Shaw was also in the truck as the assistant director. The show is being replayed throughout the month of August on the CBS College Sports Network.
Kitay Productions also produced nightly content for Major League Baseball Advanced Media throughout June and July. Working out of a studio at the Chelsea Market in Manhattan, Joel Kitay served as a freelance highlight producer, creating two-minute recaps of Major League Baseball games on a nightly basis. The fully-produced clips were then posted to www.mlb.com and distributed to individual club websites.
