TIGERVISION FIRST SEASON A SUCCESS
When Towson University installed the first-ever high-defintion LED video scoreboard in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) of college football last summer, the university selected Kitay Productions, Inc., to be the company charged with operating its new technology, and providing a complete content and gameday production package. The hugely successful inaugural campaign was completed today at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
The Kitay-produced show for Towson football dramatically altered and enhanced the gameday experience for fans at Towson. Kitay provided a gameday staff of ten technicians, wrote the show scripts and formats in conjunction with Towson staff, produced and directed the game live on the new video scoreboard, and created many of the video features shown during the game.
"We delivered a show that far exceeded our own expectations," said president Joel Kitay. "We were able to use our extensive experience working in pro football and FBS college stadiums to give Towson an overall production on par with those top shows."
Kitay Productions' show included three cameras, two channels of instant replay, two channels of graphics, and more. Towson players were also heavily involved in the production, popping up to deliver trivia questions and more during games, achieving a goal set by Towson to make the players' faces more familiar to the crowds at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Kitay Productions will continue to support Towson's other events in similar fashion, including men's lacrosse games in the spring, and other non-athletic events to be held at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
