Kitay Productions, Inc., an award-winning television and video production company, is extremely pleased to announce the completion of a video tribute to honor the lifetime accomplishments of Gen. John Shalikashvili, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  The Kitay-produced video will be featured during a black-tie fundraising event hosted by The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C. on April 5, 2006.

At the event, NBR will formally dedicate an endowed Chair in the name of Gen. Shalikashvili to advance the study of national security issues and address critical United States' interests the Asia-Pacific.  As part of the evening's activities, a series of video presentations will be shown to convey the personal and military achievements of Gen. Shalikashvili, who served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Clinton from 1993-1997.

"We are honored to have helped the organization endow the new John M. Shalikashvili Chair in National Security Studies and hope that the videos we created help portray the inspirational career of Gen. Shalikashvili."

To create the presentation, Kitay Productions conducted exhaustive research and assembled hours of video interviews with dignitaries including former President Clinton, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Rep. Norm Dicks (D-WA), former Secretary of Defense Dr. William Perry, and George Russell, Chairman of NBR.

The end result is a stirring tribute that takes viewers on the amazing journey of Gen. Shalikashvili, from his childhood in war-torn Warsaw, Poland to his immigration to the United States and rise from an enlisted solider to the most influential military adviser in the nation.
